Known for its colorful swim trunks and Saint-Tropez roots, Vilebrequin has expanded beyond fashion with its Vilebrequin La Plage restaurants, and the first outpost in the U.S. (following locations in Cannes, Crete, Doha and Oman) recently opened on the rooftop of the Unframed, Autograph Collection hotel in Miami Beach.
“La Plage is an extension of the Vilebrequin lifestyle,” general manager Emmanuel Bergesio said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to bring the atmosphere and art de vivre of the Riviera — relaxed, joyful and centered around the pleasures of the sea, good food and time spent together. Miami felt like a natural place for the concept to land.”
Guests of the 18,000-square-foot space can move between indoor and outdoor dining areas, including a bar and lounge, a terrace and a pool deck lined with pink‑striped loungers.
Executive chef Gregory Gourreau leads a kitchen that blends Southern French flavors with Miami’s tropical ingredients. Breakfast dishes include Pain Perdu with caramelized apple and raspberries and a Steak À Cheval with fried eggs, potatoes and Provençal chimichurri. Dinner highlights range from Poulpe Grillé Provençal (grilled octopus, tomato, olives, fingerling potatoes and smoked paprika) to Fettuccini Burrata with lemon butter, crispy garlic, basil, mint and burrata foam. A raw bar rounds things out with Seafood Towers, Crudos, Oysters, Clams and Caviar Service.
The bar, meanwhile, channels French aperitif culture with cocktails such as the Hugo Spritz Du Jardin, La Belle Piquante (with tequila, mango and Dijon mustard) and the lavender‑infused Fleur De Cactus.
