What do you get when you combine a pizzeria, wine shop and food market? If you’re in Miami’s Little River neighborhood, it’s Bar Bucce. The new concept comes from siblings Chef Michael Pirolo and Beverage Director Jacqueline Pirolo, along with Jennifer Chaefsky — the team behind Macchialina in Miami Beach.
“It’s meant to be a space for everyone in the Little River community. Whether you’re looking to host a killer dinner party or just want a place to wind down with pizza and a glass of wine after work, we’ve got you covered,” says Jacqueline.
Bar Bucce showcases a split personality, offering coffee and lunch counter service alongside pizza-by-the-slice options during the day.
In the evening, the market transforms into a more elevated experience where guests can choose a bottle and select a pre-made meal at the counter; a server will plate the food and bring to the table. Meals include baked ziti, eggplant parmigiana, insalata di mare, chicken cutlets fried to order and specialty sandwiches.
The made-to-order pizzas are the creation of Michael, whose thin, crispy pies are the result of years spent perfecting his dough recipe.
Want to take something home for later? Bar Bucce sells fresh pasta by the pound, along with jars of homemade pomodoro sauce.
Bar Bucce is located at 7220 N. Miami Ave. in Miami. For more information, visit barbucce.com.
