Magic 13 Brewing Co. has ditched the food trucks in favor of its own restaurant — Magic Kitchen. The brewery partnered with Renata Ferraro (former chef/partner of Key Biscayne’s celebrated Flour & Weirdoughs) to come up with a menu centered around grilled meats and seasonal vegetables, as well as elevated bar food.
“Working in tandem with the partners, we came up with a menu that offers lots of choices that go well beyond the brewery norm — ranging from snacks to composed plates and even desserts — and includes a number of dishes made with Magic City beers,” Ferraro says.
There’s a variety of wings with your choice of buffalo, mango habanero, lemon pepper or barbecue flavors, served with garlic aioli, blue cheese or ranch dipping sauces. Or try the Parillada Argentina for two, featuring churrasco, chicken thighs, St. Louis-style ribs, chorizo, roasted peppers, french fries and a selection of sauces.
A variety of tacos, empanadas, roasted street corn and tequeños is also on the menu.
On a hot day, check out the Charcuterie Board, featuring two kinds of cheese, salami, prosciutto, housemade pickles, bread, herbed butter and a choice of roasted red peppers or eggplant spread.
For the traditionalist, there are burgers, chicken, steak and fish sandwiches. Or try a house favorite — the Colombian Hot Dog, a frankfurter topped with crispy papitas, shredded cheese, pink sauce, pineapple relish and bacon bits.
End on a sweet note with churros, paired with a rich stout chocolate sauce.
