Located at the north end of Miami’s Wynwood Art District, Miami’s only pasta bar is one-of-a-kind, specializing in “mean pasta and natty wine.”
Dishes are crafted by Italian Chef Viviana Varese, renowned for her (now closed) Michelin-starred restaurant Viva in Milan and W Villadorata Country Restaurant in Sicily, Italy.
The menu is divided into sections: “White Sauce Pasta” and “Red Sauce Pasta,” as well as “More Pasta” and “Not Pasta.” Included are fresh classics such as Doppio Pomodoro, Carbonara and Cacio e Pepe, as well as Zuppa di Patate e Basilico and Raviolo Grande Spinach e Uovo.
“Pasta reigns supreme on Otto & Pepe’s menu, where each dish pays homage to classic recipes and the Italian principle of respecting the raw ingredient. As Miami is home to world-class gastronomy, it is an honor to introduce these culinary creations that invite guests to savor genuine taste and flavors,” Varese says.
Miami wine expert Karina Iglesias and award-winning mixologist Matias Iriarte add to the menu with a selection of wines designed to complement each dish as well as a curated selection of cocktails.
Cartoon characters Otto, a playful pasta, and Pepe, a mischievous wine bottle, bring a touch of playfulness to the table.
In addition to a 21-seat pasta bar offering guests a front-row seat to the food preparation, there is a beautiful patio where guests can dine alfresco or gather for pre-dinner cocktails or a nightcap.
Otto & Pepe is located at 126 N.W. 27th St. in Miami. For more information, visit ottoandpepe.com.
