Chō Funky Asian Bistro has quickly become one of Miami Beach’s most talked‑about new openings, bringing high‑energy dining to Sunset Harbour. Created by restaurateur Mohamed “Mo” Alkassar, the restaurant focuses on pan-Asian flavors, an upbeat atmosphere and thoughtful service. As Alkassar said in a statement, “Chō will radiate warmth, energy and genuine care. You’ll walk out feeling better than when you walked in.”
The menu spans Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, China and Indonesia. Starters range from Chicken Liver Pâté with a Granny Smith–kaffir lime chutney, applewood‑smoked Pork Ribs glazed in gochujang and Wood Ear Mushrooms with black vinegar and chili oil. Lighter options like the Mango Coconut Salad and Scallop Crudo are bright and refreshing.
Other small bites include Mushroom Dumplings served with yuzu-ponzu and sesame-chili dips, Eggplant Lumpia with a chili‑garlic dip and Duck Bao filled with honey‑soy-glazed duck and pickles.

From the wok, the Pad See Ew combines stir‑fried beef, Chinese broccoli and rice noodles, while the Duck Fried Rice is made with snow peas, sweet corn and eggs and is presented in a ceramic take‑out box. Larger dishes include Korean Fried Chicken with confit garlic Kewpie mayonnaise, Turmeric Fish Cha Ca La Vong and Khao Soi Lamb Neck with both egg and crispy noodles.
Behind the bar, Asian influences find their way into cocktails such as the Golden Triangle with gin and Thai basil, the Neon Geisha with Japanese whiskey and melon and the Silk Thai Manhattan with rye and Thai tea.
