Looking for pasta? You can find it in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood. The new restaurant comes from Lima, Peru, where husband-and-wife team and chefs Juan Manuel Umbert and Janice Buraschi started their culinary journey.
“We opened a tiny restaurant in Lima with the goal of being the best pasta restaurant in the city. We are humbled by our success and Miami presented an incredible and natural opportunity for growth,” says Buraschi.
The 2,400-square-foot space seats 77 guests with an open kitchen providing guests an immersive culinary experience.
The menu features a variety of pastas including Pappardelle with 10-Hour Braised Beef Cheek Ragú, as well as a selection of signature pasta dishes such as Taglierini with Anchovies and Pici Cacio E Pepe and Mushroom Agnolotti.
Appetizers include Razor Clams with Salsa Verde made with Housemade Nduja (spicy spreadable pork sausage).
The dessert menu is to die for, with assorted gelato, a Sicilian-inspired Pistachio di Bronte Tart and a Coffee Crema Volteada, Peru’s version of a traditional flan packed with a rich Peruvian coffee-caramel flavor.
Pasta also offers a full bar and curated list of classic Italian wines and cocktails highlighting a variety of Negronis and spritzes.
