A Reign Of Flavor
Dumpling King Expands To Boca Raton With It’s Beloved Handmade Dumplings
After earning a loyal following in North Miami Beach and beyond, Dumpling King has brought its handmade Chinese dumplings to Boca Raton.
Dating back to the Han Dynasty more than 1,800 years ago, Chinese dumplings — known as jiaozi — were created to provide warmth and nourishment during harsh winter months. Over time, they evolved into a staple of Chinese cuisine, symbolizing prosperity and family unity. During the Lunar New Year, dumplings hold special meaning as their shape resembles ancient gold ingots, representing wealth and good fortune.
The founders of Dumpling King grew up in northern China where dumplings are a cornerstone of local food culture. They carried those authentic flavors and traditions to South Florida in the style of a classic Chinese dumpling house.
Of course, dumplings are the heart of the menu — and for good reason. They’re handmade with long-established techniques passed down through generations. The dough is thin yet strong, holding generous fillings of fresh vegetables, premium meats and well-balanced seasonings.
The golden, crispy fried or steamed gyoza come with classic fillings of Pork, Chicken, Beef and Vegetable as well as a Chive, Pork and Shrimp or Kimchi and Pork variety. For tender boiled dumplings, the House Spicy Wontons or Pork and Pak Choi are a must.
Our favorites, however, are the Steamed Soup Dumplings. The traditional Shanghai Style Soup Dumplings, or xiao long bao, are filled with seasoned pork and a savory broth. These delicate treats come in variations like Crab and Pork, Chicken or Beef.
There’s plenty more to explore with rice, soup and noodle dishes. Crispy Scallion Pancakes make a perfect starter, while the Braised Beef Noodle Soup delivers deep, rich flavor.
Spice seekers will appreciate Hot Spicy Dips with veggies, meat or seafood with your choice of spice intensity. The dips include clear noodles, cabbage, tofu, rice cake and pak choi in flavorful bone broth. The Spicy Stir Fried Hot Pot is another standout, brimming with hearty additions such as fatty beef, shrimp and pork intestine.
To cool things down — or simply satisfy a sweet craving — Dumpling King has flavored green and black fruit teas, along with nearly a dozen milk teas. We love the Taro, Thai and Brown Sugar milk teas topped with boba pearls.
For a sweet finish, the Custard Dumplings are hard to resist — proof that even dessert tastes better in dumpling form.
