Fletchers Brings Supper Club Style To Boca Raton
1970s-Inspired Restaurant And Lounge To Open This Fall
A dinner at Fletcher’s is designed to unfold slowly, beginning with a chef-led, omakase-style meal and easing into cocktails, music and a late-night crowd. Rooted in the atmosphere of 1970s Palm Beach supper clubs, the new restaurant, bar and lounge is set to open in Boca Raton this fall.
In that midcentury era, supper clubs blended formal dining with an unhurried social scene. Evenings often began with martinis and multi-course meals served in dimly lit, plush dining rooms, then gradually transitioned into music, dancing and late-night drinks. The pacing was deliberate, with an emphasis on staying awhile rather than moving on after dinner, as the energy in the room shifted over the course of the night.
Fletchers embodies this energy with dark woods, marble, rich velvet green booths and warm, dim lighting in a space that encourages one to get up and feel the music.
Co-founded by Jake Marr and Sam Meitus, the project marks a shift from the sports-focused Hijinks Sports Grill that previously occupied the site, replacing wall-to-wall screens and casual fare with an upscale restaurant and late-night entertainment. Evening seatings are expected to begin at 6 p.m., followed by a lounge that opens later in the night.
The menu is led by executive chef and co-founder Michael Stember, a former Olympian who has built a following through his sold-out pop-up series Sushi Belly Tower with events held in cities including New York and Los Angeles. He later opened Ponyboy in Brooklyn, a restaurant known for pairing a strong food program with an active nightlife scene.
The menu will blend New American, Japanese and Mediterranean influences, with offerings ranging from fresh sashimi and nigiri to Dover sole with brown butter and Meyer lemon, along with a chef's tasting menu and omakase experience. The beverage program will include classic and house cocktails like The Fletcher Martini, alongside a selection of spirits and wines.
Beyond the 120-seat dining room is the restaurant’s 40-seat private club for the members-only Inner Circle. Geared toward frequent guests and those seeking a more private setting, the paid membership includes priority reservations, a dedicated bartender and access to the separate after-hours lounge for smaller gatherings and late nights.
