Diana Krall, the Canadian jazz musician who achieved worldwide success with her contralto voice and elegant piano playing has captivated audiences since making her debut in 1993.
Now she is embarking on an expansive 34-city tour in the U.S., currently performing in South Florida for two days. On Apr. 25 fans can enjoy favorites like “Cry Me A River” in West Palm Beach at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts and on Apr. 26 Krall will be in Fort Lauderdale at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.
Reuniting with Tommy LiPuma, the Grammy Award-winning producer of many of her acclaimed albums including “All Of You,” “The Look Of Love,” “Live In Paris” and “Turn Up The Quiet,” fans will recognize the personable, easy-on-the-ears style they have grown to love.
To date, Krall’s albums have won two Grammy Awards and 10 Juno Awards, with nine albums going Gold, three Platinum and seven awarded multi-platinum. The lauded vocalist and musician has won eight album debuts at the top of the Billboard Jazz Albums chart. The New York Times recently noted that she possesses “a voice at once cool and sultry, wielded with a rhythmic sophistication.”
