From early mornings at the Florida Panthers IceDen to the world’s biggest stage, Coral Springs native Andrew Torgashev is officially headed to the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan.
We spoke to the 22-year-old native prior to his standout performance at the Prevagen U.S. Figure Skating Championships in St. Louis, where he earned one of three spots on Team USA’s men’s figure skating roster alongside Maxim Naumov and Ilia Malinin.
Torgashev’s ascent has been steady and hard-earned. He medaled at the U.S. National Championships and Grand Prix de France, building momentum that positioned him as a serious Olympic contender this season. His technical precision, intricate choreography and emotional delivery set him apart in a fiercely competitive field.
A focused mindset has carried him through rigorous training cycles, international competitions and the pressure of a crowded U.S. men’s field. His programs this season highlight his artistic maturity and athletic range, with Torgashev wanting to leave everything on the ice.
As the Milan Games approach, Torgashev is refining elements, solidifying consistency and preparing for a global spotlight he’s long envisioned.
