The King Of Pop Lives On
‘MJ: The Musical’ Honors Legendary Star At The Broward Center For The Performing Arts
Hailed as one of the greatest entertainers of all time, Michael Jackson’s legacy remains as vibrant as ever. Even 15 years after his passing, his unique and unparalleled artistry continues to be celebrated and showcased on the global stage.
One production paying remarkable tribute to the King of Pop is the Tony Award-winning “MJ: The Musical.” Centered around the making of the 1992 Dangerous World Tour, the musical goes beyond Jackson’s singular moves and sounds, offering a rare glimpse into the creative genius and collaborative spirit that catapulted him to superstardom.
Following a sold-out run at Miami’s Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in March, longtime fans can once again experience the magic of “MJ” at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts from April 8 to 20 as part of the Bank of America Broadway in Fort Lauderdale 2024-2025 season.
Created by Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Christopher Wheeldon and two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage, the musical features a collection of Jackson’s greatest hits, including “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough,” “Rock With You,” “Man In The Mirror,” “Heal The World” and, of course, “Thriller.”
