Filled with works from the impressive and innovative Salvador Dalí, the Dalí Museum is a gem.
Visitors can peruse more than 2,000 works, including nearly 300 oil paintings, watercolors and drawings, as well as more than 2,100 prints, photographs, posters, textiles, sculptures and objets d’art.
While the in-person experience at this St. Petersburg venue is nothing short of amazing, there’s also a virtual way to explore the works of this master of surrealism.
Check out the museum’s virtual 360-degree tour from the comfort of your home. “We invite you to explore, engage and be amazed through digital experiences you can access anytime, from anywhere. In addition to taking a 360-degree tour of the museum and Avant-garden, you can be entertained, educated, inspired and feed your creativity digitally,” notes the museum’s website.
What can you discover? Special online-only exhibits and various tours, lessons, lectures, art classes and other activities for all ages — as well as a chance to interact with an engaging life-like Salvador Dalí on a series of screens throughout the museum.
As for Dalí: “From his personal life to his professional endeavors, he always took great risks and proved how rich the world can be when you dare to embrace pure, boundless creativity,” the website says.
