It’s a double delight: The Temptations and The Four Tops will share the stage at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach at 8 p.m. Dec. 7.
The two powerhouse groups — known for songs like “Ain’t No Woman Like The One I’ve Got,” “My Girl” and “Just My Imagination” will be bringing back memories while making new ones.
The Temptations are celebrating 60 years of making music with a year-long campaign including a new album in 2022, a 50-city concert tour and the return of the Broadway musical, “Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations.”
“I’m proud of what the Temptations have achieved, and I’m grateful for every opportunity we’ve been so fortunate to receive. The music carries me. Together, we lift our voices with love and wonder…,” Otis Williams, the sole surviving, original Temptation, writes on the group’s website.
The Four Tops, who also have had an illustrious, award-winning career, will be lighting up the stage with Abdul “Duke” Fakir, the original member of the band, who was instrumental in sparking the musical “I’ll Be There” about the group to be released in 2022.
“Like other Motown artists, The Four Tops occupy a place of high honor among rhythm and blues royalty,” notes motownmuseum.org.
