What began in 1997 as a small fundraiser at Florida International University has grown into one of the nation’s premier food festivals, drawing more than 500 chefs, restaurateurs and cultural personalities to South Florida.
This month, the annual South Beach Wine & Food Festival takes place Feb. 19–22, featuring a lineup that reads like a who’s who of the culinary world, thanks to its expansion into a multiday format in the early 2000s.
Rachael Ray will return to host Burger Bash, while fan-favorite Guy Fieri brings his high-energy Tournament of Champions to life on South Beach. Andrew Zimmern will close out the weekend with the 25 Years of Legendary Bites & Iconic Sips party. Duff Goldman sweetens the festivities with Let Them Eat Cake! at the iconic National Hotel, while Jet Tila and Aarti Sequeira revive the Asian Night Market. Tyler Florence will showcase open-fire cooking at Masters of Fire, Aarón Sánchez spices up the Miami Design District with Tacos & Tequila and Kwame Onwuachi and Nina Compton highlight Afro-Caribbean flavors at Las’ Lap Link Up. Beyond the kitchen, David Burtka and Neil Patrick Harris host a brunch celebrating Miami’s coffee culture.
This year’s festival also debuts new experiences, from a kick-off party with Diplo to late-night pizza gatherings and family barbecues with the Zakarian family.
