For two weeks in January, Miami becomes a global hub for Jewish cinema, offering audiences unforgettable stories and conversations as the Miami Jewish Film Festival (MJFF) returns for its 29th edition, showcasing groundbreaking films from around the world.
Running Jan. 14–29, MJFF will transform venues across Miami and Miami Beach into vibrant cultural stages. Recognized as the world’s largest Jewish film festival, MJFF attracts more than 58,000 attendees annually and has been named one of the 50 best film festivals in the world by MovieMaker magazine multiple times.
This year’s lineup promises to be especially rich, with films exploring the Jewish experience through diverse lenses. Audiences can expect international premieres, U.S. debuts and film screenings from more than 50 countries.
Past editions have featured acclaimed titles such as “Foxtrot,” “The Cakemaker” and “Son of Saul.” This year’s festival will continue the tradition of presenting award-winning cinema along with emerging voices.
MJFF emphasizes community engagement, with most of the events featuring Q&As, talk-backs or panel discussions. These interactive sessions allow audiences to connect directly with filmmakers, producers and industry professionals, deepening the cultural dialogue around Jewish identity, heritage and storytelling.
