On Dec. 25, Santa will travel the world by sleigh — but a few days earlier, he’ll trade his reindeer for running shoes at Indian Beach Park in Miami Beach. Run Santa Run Miami takes place Dec. 21, as part of a seven-city series that brings festive fun to runners and walkers of all levels.
The event features 5K, 10K and half marathon options, on courses lined with holiday cheer — from candy canes and gingerbread cookies to Christmas music.
Participants are encouraged to dress in festive attire. The event kicks off at 7:30 a.m. with the half marathon, followed by the 5K and 10K at 8 a.m. As runners complete the course, Santa will be waiting with open arms and a camera-ready smile. Those who cross the finish line earn a commemorative Christmas tree ornament medal, a holiday-themed hoodie and MoonPies.
Whether you’re chasing a personal best or just soaking in the seasonal vibes, Run Santa Run Miami is your chance to celebrate the holidays with movement, music and merriment — all while giving back to a good cause. A portion of the proceeds from the Miami race goes to Clean Miami Beach, a nonprofit dedicated to keeping natural habitats free of garbage and harmful pollutants, with a focus on eliminating single-use plastics.
