The 55th Delray Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival returns on March 15, offering a full day of lively performances, delicious food and nonstop entertainment.
This beloved tradition dates back to 1968, when local Irishman and pub owner Maury Power took a stroll down the iconic Atlantic Avenue with a green pig by his side and a shillelagh (a traditional Irish wooden club) in hand. What started as a small, quirky tribute has since grown into South Florida’s largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade, drawing thousands each year. The event invites local nonprofits, businesses, schools, civic organizations, veterans, law enforcement, firefighters, motorcycles and Irish heritage societies — along with visitors and locals — for an unforgettable celebration.
Those looking to paint the town green can join in the parade’s infectious energy and sense of community, which keeps crowds coming back year after year. The parade kicks off at the Intracoastal Bridge on Atlantic Avenue and marches west to N.W. 5th Ave., with 70 accessible entries. Expect an impressive lineup of fire departments from around the world, U.S. veterans, pipes and drum bands, vibrant floats and more.
After the parade, the festivities continue at the City of Delay Beach’s Old School Square with the St. Patrick’s Day Festival featuring live music, food trucks, local vendors, exclusive merchandise and family-friendly games — all with a touch of Irish luck.
