This fall, Broadway’s boldest revival lands in South Florida, as “The Wiz” storms the stage at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts from Oct. 21 to 26 as part of the 2025–2026 Kravis on Broadway season.
Fresh off its triumphant Broadway return, this national tour reimagines “The Wizard of Oz” with dazzling choreography, visionary sets, colorful costumes and a score that blends soul, gospel, rock and 1970s funk.
Originally debuting in 1974, “The Wiz” broke barriers with its vibrant celebration of Black culture and music. It hit the big screen in 1978 with Diana Ross, Lena Horne, Richard Pryor and Michael Jackson.
Now, this revival brings a contemporary twist to Dorothy’s journey, infusing the classic tale with ballet, jazz and modern pop that will have audiences dancing in their seats.
Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to the magic, this production offers a theatrical experience that’s both nostalgic and fresh. With its electrifying energy and heartfelt message of self-discovery, growth and hope, this production is so more than a musical — it’s a celebration.
