It’s been more than a year since dancer-choreographer Siudy Garrido and her company have lit up the stage with their award-winning moves.
Now they’re back and ready to entertain audiences at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami on April 17 at 8 p.m.
What can audiences expect? “Filled with exhilarating flamenco footwork, beautiful choreographies, the passion of Spanish guitar and original music from maestro Jose Luis de la Paz, this flamenco concert will present original pieces from Garrido’s repertoire in the spirit of looking ahead into a new beautiful horizon,” notes the venue’s website.
Garrido, known for her contemporary approach to flamenco, began dancing at age 5 in her native country of Venezuela. She studied contemporary dance and jazz at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway, has performed at many sold-out shows
and was invited by Cirque du Soleil to teach a flamenco workshop in Las Vegas for their dancers.
Her passion for dance is interwoven in all she does.
“Every detail of every fragment of movement is connected to the depths of my soul, every melody guides my body,” she explains on her website.
