After more than a year of couch surfing, many of us have resumed — or initiated — an exercise plan.
For those who are ready to take on a more strenuous workout, we’ve got just the event.
Check out the South Florida Triathlon I Aug. 8 at C.B. Smith Park in Pembroke Pines. The event includes a Sprint Triathlon and Sprint Duration with relay. Then there’s the quarter mile freshwater swim or one mile run. That’s followed by an 11-mile bike ride through the park and around the city of Pembroke Pines. The finale?
A 3-mile run around the lake and running path.
The USA Triathlon sanctioned event begins at 6:50 a.m. “This is a great first timer venue with a super safe, swim, bike and run course!,” notes the Facebook post.
Need more time to get in shape? There’s a second race at the same venue Nov. 28.
Volunteer help is another way to be a part of the event. “If you don’t or can’t race, please consider volunteering for our event. Your time and effort has a huge impact on the success of each race,” note the organizers.
