December in South Florida ushers in a festive atmosphere and a fun-filled agenda for the whole family. This year, the Miami Beach Holiday Festival of Lights is making its highly anticipated return to The Betsy Hotel.
Presented by the Miami Beach Classical Music Festival (MMF), The Betsy Hotel will be transformed into a living canvas with the usage of intricate lighting designs and captivating visuals synchronized with music.
Performances will take place over two weekends: on Dec. 13, 14 and 15 and Dec. 20, 21 and 22, with shows at 6, 7:30 and 9 p.m. Families can meet favorite holiday characters (including Santa Claus), play in real snow and enjoy a live orchestra.
“As a Miami Beach resident and business owner, I am thrilled to be welcoming Michael Rossi [MMF founder and artistic director] and The Miami Beach Holiday Festival of Lights back to Ocean Drive for this holiday-rich, family-centric event,” says Jonathan Plutzil, co-owner of The Betsy Hotel. “The Miami Beach Holiday Festival of Lights is quickly becoming the standard for other cultural celebrations around the world.”
