August marks the return of Miami Spice, a two-month program bringing specially priced prix-fixe menus to the Magic City.
Lunch and brunch are priced at $40, while dinner is offered at $50, $65 or the new $95 Miami Spice Reserve tier, depending on the restaurant. The three-course menus offer a chance to experience some of Greater Miami’s most sought-after dishes — many of which might otherwise be out of reach.
Participating restaurants span more than 30 neighborhoods, from Brickell and Coral Gables to Wynwood and Miami Beach. As of press time, South Beach leads with 48 participants, followed by Brickell with 47 and Coral Gables with 24.
Notable restaurants include CalaMillor Gourmet Experience for Spanish cuisine, Casadonna for coastal Italian, Blind Tiger for Japanese omakase and Michelin-starred Le Jardinier, for vegetable-forward French food.
Diners can also help fund meals, shelter and support services by donating to Camillus House. This year, the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau will match the first $25,000 given by Miami Spice patrons.
Miami Beach visitors can take advantage of a $1-per-hour parking rate at municipal lots, garages and on-street spaces for up to three hours in August and September.
