Dr. Mahdi Taha is a hematologist and medical oncologist with Florida Cancer Specialists in Palm Beach County. He earned his medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York. After completing his residency in Internal Medicine at the Oklahoma State University Medical Center in Tulsa, he was awarded a fellowship at Cancer Treatment Centers of America through Oklahoma State University, where he was named medical oncology Chief Fellow.
Dr. Taha volunteered for the American Red Cross Haiti Disaster Relief, where he cared for patients in Port-Au-Prince and at the World Trade Center during the tragic 9/11 catastrophe. He was also an adjunct clinical professor for the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia and the lead medical oncologist at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America and Research Center.
Dr. Taha has a strong interest in research with a focus in Thoracic Oncology, Head and Neck Cancer, ImmunoOncology, Genitourinary Oncology including prostate cancer, urothelial carcinoma and renal cell carcinoma, as well as skin cancers and breast cancer. Dr. Taha serves as a medical consultant nationally and internationally for numerous pharmaceutical and genomic projects.
