Eli S. Levine, M.D.
Interventional Cardiology
Oftentimes, it’s difficult for men to discuss erectile dysfunction. It can be an embarrassing and taboo subject. Still, you should always mention any sexual health changes to your cardiologist. That’s because difficulty getting an erection could be a significant early warning sign of underlying cardiovascular disease.
Eli Levine, M.D., a triple board-certified cardiologist who is founder and president of Advanced Heart & Vascular Institute in Boca Raton, broaches the topic at all appointments with male patients. “I bring it up which makes it easier to talk about.” He discusses treatments that can help reverse ED and improve cardiovascular health.
Dr. Levine is one of the highest volume cardiac interventional operators in South Florida, performing complex coronary and endovascular interventions. The office handles stenting coronary and vascular blockages, cardiac imaging, congestive heart failure, valvular heart disease and more. In-house procedures include 3D echocardiography, nuclear stress testing, loop recorder implantation, arterial and venous ultrasounds and venous ablations. Interventions are done at Boca Raton Regional Hospital and Delray Medical Center. “We can get people home alive and well when they come in very ill. It’s the reason I keep doing what I do,” Dr. Levine says. “We help restore and improve our patients’ lives.”
They also perform minimally invasive procedures including advanced coronary, endovascular and structural heart disease interventions. “Valve replacement procedures that used to require open heart surgery are now done with a tiny hole through the leg and fixed in less than an hour in most instances.”
Their vein clinic provides comprehensive services for a variety of venous conditions, including leg pain and swelling, fluid buildup, painful varicose veins and edema. Procedures are done in-office with radiofrequency technology for fast pain and symptoms relief and improvement in the appearance of the legs. “Patients feel much better. They can exercise more, lose more weight and sleep better without the symptoms of restless leg syndrome.”
Dr. Levine is the only high volume interventional and endovascular cardiologist in Boca Raton who offers optional concierge services for patients. Available to a select group, patients get direct access to the doctor.
