Elliott & Robin Broidy
Investment Firm
Boca Raton, the birthplace of IBM’s first personal computer, has long been a magnet for top talent in industries from technology to finance.
One notable newcomer to this thriving professional landscape is Elliott Broidy, who has recently relocated to Boca from Los Angeles along with his wife Robin.
A seasoned entrepreneur, philanthropist, and investor, Broidy brings a remarkable track record of building successful ventures that have created thousands of jobs, with a particular focus on defense, homeland security, and public safety.
Broidy’s career spans over four decades and includes investments in around 160 companies, many of which leverage AI technology for defense and public safety applications, including solutions for law enforcement agencies.
Known for his innovative approach to business and a keen understanding of market trends, Elliott has been instrumental in pioneering strategies that drive success in highly competitive industries. His ability to identify emerging opportunities has made him a respected figure in his field.
His wife Robin is a native New Yorker. With a background in law and an MBA degree, she moved to California to pursue a career in the film industry, where she worked her way up to a senior executive role at film production and distribution giant 20th Century Fox.
Beyond his business endeavors, Broidy is already making a positive impact on his new community in Boca Raton. He has been deeply involved with Boca Raton Regional Hospital and the Lynn Cancer Institute, causes Broidy holds close to his heart.
“I’m honored to support Boca Regional and its vital mission,” Broidy shares. “The work they do here is truly inspiring and it’s important to me to be part of the hospital’s present and future.”
The Broidys’ philanthropic reach extends to a number of local and national charities, reflecting their belief in building stronger communities wherever they go.
For Broidy, the decision to settle in Boca Raton wasn’t solely about business. Parents to three children and proud grandparents to three more, the couple left their Beverly Hills home to be closer to Robin’s parents, who live in Boca Raton. “There’s a vibrant Jewish community here, with a unique sense of community that resonates deeply with me,” Broidy adds.
Robin has also expressed her enthusiasm for becoming involved in Boca Raton’s vibrant cultural and philanthropic landscape. “It’s a city that offers so much,” Robin says. “We’re excited to immerse ourselves in all it has to offer while contributing in meaningful ways to the community.”
Broidy’s commitment to Israel and Jewish causes is evident in his long-standing support for organizations combating antisemitism and terrorism. He spent eight years on the board of the Simon Wiesenthal Center Museum of Tolerance and has donated to over 100 organizations dedicated to these causes.
The tragic events of Oct. 7th further heightened Broidy’s commitment to Israel. “These events made us painfully aware of the extraordinary danger facing Israel and Jewish communities worldwide,” he reflects. “It prompted me to deepen my support for several organizations, including The Counter Extremism Project and The Jewish Agency for Israel, as well as various groups fighting antisemitism on U.S. campuses and beyond.”
With a deeply rooted commitment to both business and philanthropy, Broidy exemplifies the kind of leadership and compassion that continues to attract top talent to South Florida and Boca Raton in particular.
“This community has heart, and we’re proud to be part of it,” Broidy says.
