Susan Brown Siegel Takes Family Interior Design Firm Into the Future
As a little girl, Susan Brown Siegel would spend weekends with her father traveling to clients’ homes, delivering samples, ensuring furniture had been delivered and generally making sure they were satisfied with a job well done.
“It taught me the value of customer relationships, and I got to see how dedicated my father was to the company that was his namesake,” says Brown Siegel.
After getting her degree in communications and working outside of Florida for several years, Brown Siegel returned home in 2010 to join the family business as director of marketing.
In 2014, Brown Siegel’s father, Steven, died following a tragic accident. She, along with her mother, Dana, the company’s president, and aunt Pam Nadler, an interior designer, have continued to carry on her father’s tradition of providing customers with unmatched customer service. Brown’s 10 interior designers each have their own unique style, allowing customers to work with someone who is best suited to their needs.
Brown Siegel handles everything from events to social media to making certain the company continues to have the kind of name recognition in the community that her father would be proud of.
She oversaw the rebranding of the 44-year-old company, which included a name change from Brown’s Interior Design to simply Brown, along with the creation of a new logo, a new website and other marketing initiatives. Plus, the firm’s 10,000-square-foot showroom and design center also got a major facelift as well as the addition of cutting-edge technology that brings design to life.
Although the firm has always showcased its designers’ work through photography, Brown Siegel says that they plan to place an increased focus on them in the next phase of their campaign. This will be accomplished through video and photography.
“Our designers are the backbone of our business,” says Brown Siegel. “They are the ones who work with our clients from concept to completion and turn their dreams into reality.”
She sees photography and video as a way to educate potential clients about what the firm can do and the important role designers play.
“That’s my favorite part of the job: going to clients’ homes and seeing how happy they are,” says Brown Siegel.
Brown is located at 4501 N. Federal Highway, Boca Raton. For more information, call 561-368-2703 or visit interiorsbybrown.com.
