Residential, Commercial and Hospitality Interior Design Services
To put it bluntly, life is crazy. That’s why your home should feel comfortable and like you’re in your perfect haven. It’s all about creating your own oasis.
That’s where Ilana Aronowitz can help. A senior interior designer at Clive Daniel Home in Boca Raton, Aronowitz has been in the interior design industry for over 20 years. She has worked for CDH since it opened its doors nearly 10 years ago.
She listens intently to clients to fulfill their visions. “I must understand a client’s needs and lifestyle.” Often, she’ll begin with a focal point and go from there. That could be a piece of art, a chair or even a color. “I begin with something and build off that to have a grounding point or a point of interest,” she says. “If they don’t have one, I create it for them.” She’ll help your vision come to life by letting you feel and touch the materials. “I don’t just explain it or have an idea be in your head,” she says. “I’ll tape the walls and put materials on them so you’ll see how it will look.”
She enjoys creating backgrounds and working with layers. That means not only hanging a piece of art, for example, but blanketing a feature wall by mixing it with a combination of wallpaper, stone and/ or wood. “I like to create interest.” Aronowitz also has an intuitive sense of color. She loves introducing colors to clients and mixing them together. She says that rusts, earth tones and dusty rose colors are popular right now. “But it’s different; it’s better than what it was in the '80s,” she says.
Geometrics, houndstooth and herringbone are patterns of interest, with lots of texture mixed into color palettes. “We’re putting a new spin on something you never thought of. CDH is the trendsetter in Boca Raton,” she says. CDH has a 70,000-square-foot Boca Raton showroom with items from over 250 suppliers. “We’re always in tune and are the leaders of what’s trending.”
Originally from the New York area, Aronowitz earned degrees in photography and advertising and design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She later attended Berkeley College in New Jersey where she studied interior design. Thereafter, she established herself as an interior designer. Aronowitz and her family became Floridians 17 years ago. She now is a multi-time Gold and Silver Aurora Winner.
