Working in a jewelry store means happiness is almost always in the air. Customers are celebrating life’s most meaningful milestones, shopping for engagement rings, sharing proposal videos and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Yaron Kaminski, general manager of Diamonds Direct in Boca Raton, recently experienced one of those moments firsthand when a couple in their 80s got engaged right in the store.
Diamonds Direct has been part of the Boca Raton community for five years and operates 36 locations nationwide. Known as a diamond megastore, the company is built on fair, competitive pricing and what Kaminski calls “unreasonable hospitality.”
“We give clients the experience of a lifetime,” he says. Every customer receives exceptional, personalized service, leaving confident that a trusted diamond expert guided and educated them through every step of the process.
Shoppers can explore an extensive selection of engagement rings, wedding bands, watches, fine jewelry, loose diamonds and custom designs. “We never push a sale,” Kaminski adds. “It’s about building a relationship.” Unlike many jewelers, all repairs and maintenance are always included at no additional cost.
One of the store’s most valued offerings is its 110% lifetime upgrade program. Kaminski enjoys watching families grow with the brand, seeing young girls come in for their first pair of diamond studs and return years later as teenagers wearing two-carat diamonds. “It just makes sense,” he says. “The value is incredible.”
Looking ahead to 2026, Kaminski predicts a strong return of gold jewelry, along with rising demand for elongated diamond shapes. Chunky yellow gold bands, hidden halos, three-stone settings and colored gemstones are also trending, often with personalized details or an antique-inspired feel, styles frequently seen on celebrities.
Kaminski has been with Diamonds Direct for nearly two years, previously working at the Richmond, Va., location and the company’s Charlotte, N.C., headquarters before settling in Boca Raton. With a long background in the diamond and jewelry industry, he says relationship-building is at the heart of his work. “I love connecting with my clients, but at my core, I love building my team. They come to work excited every day. We’re a family.”
