Feller Financial Services in Boca Raton has experienced a renaissance over the past five years. They’ve remodeled their office. They’ve increased their support staff size. And they’ve revamped and refreshed their client approach.
Josh Feller, ChFC©, Investment Advisor Representative, launched the firm in 2006 with his business partner, Richard Koblick, CRPC©, AWMA©, Investment Advisor Representative. The business was built around prioritizing old-school ways — dinners, seminars, in-person meetings. When COVID-19 hit in March 2020, Feller realized they (along with other businesses) had to adapt and adjust to the new world. “We found that it limited our efficiency.”
So, the firm shifted its way of doing business, using cutting-edge financial technology when helping people or businesses make financial decisions. They hold virtual webinars and online meetings, leveraging technology and bringing positive client interactions. They implemented a fraud protection program and began practicing behavioral finance.
Everything is built to speak to clients in layman’s terms so they can understand everything they’re being told. The firm leans into education first and from there, it’s about the relationships. “We can hit a broader range of topics and educate more people,” Feller says. “We operate more efficiently and can be more transparent when we deliver information and financial plans. We can run market possibilities on a screen and empower clients. It’s made a massive positive impact on the business.”
The firm has added support staff to accommodate their expanded client base. They hired young staff who embrace the new technology. “I love our team,” he says. “They’re aligned with our goals.”
He also loves when a client reaches out and tells him they’ve reached a bucket list goal they never thought was possible. “They correlate that win to us,” says Feller. “In those moments, it makes me feel that the value we’re bringing to the community is more than just financial planning. We’re helping people reach life goals. They can live and spend money comfortably without any fear.”
