As both a board-certified cosmetic and medical dermatologist, Dr. Jillian Frieder values treating the whole person, from the inside/out.
“It is important to treat patients’ medical issues, from skin cancers to chronic skin conditions, of course,” she explains, “but patients also want to feel good about the way they look. It’s always nice to be able to do a simple cosmetic treatment which can have such a positive impact on someone’s life.”
In just four years of opening her first location in Boca Raton, Dr. Frieder has opened another office in Palm Beach Gardens and more recent, in Pompano Beach.
All three offices offer GentleCure™, a surgery-free treatment for certain types of skin cancers. “It’s a popular patient request and I’m happy we can provide this treatment,” says Dr. Frieder. “It’s 99% effective without the cutting, bleeding, wound care, or scarring and that’s because we’re not treating blindly. We use ultrasound to image the thickness of the skin cancer and determine if a patient is a good candidate.”
Another factor driving the success of the family-operated business is its concierge service, without the price tag. “We treat every patient with the best possible care.” Dr. Frieder gets to know her patients and gives personalized care and attention.
Dr. Frieder is optimistic about the future of dermatology. “AI is still in its infancy, but it’s exciting,” she says. “It can help us identify suspicious lesions, guide biopsies, and improve accuracy in diagnosing skin cancers and other conditions.”
According to Dr. Frieder, it is beneficial to have at least one skin check a year. “When it comes to full body checks, there’s nothing to be embarrassed about; we do this every day. Remember — when caught early, skin cancers are very treatable.”
What else makes her practice stand out? “We’re usually able to offer same day or same week appointments,” shares Dr. Frieder. “Patients can always reach us directly; we’re here when they need us.”
