Pamela Higer-Polani
Attorney
Jokingly referring to herself as “Legally Blonde Barbie,” Pamela Higer-Polani nevertheless takes the role as an attorney and advocate for others very seriously.
“I may look like Super Girl, but I fight like Wonder Woman!”
Well-aware that most people never contact a lawyer unless they have a speeding ticket or a loved one passes away, Higer-Polani gently reminds clients that before their troubles begin is when they should create an estate plan. Accordingly, her law firm addresses all aspects of personal and business succession planning, along with probate, trusts and the corresponding litigation. Viewing herself as a concierge attorney, Higer-Polani urges clients to contact her with any legal concern, more than just reviewing their Last Wills & Testaments, Durable Powers of Attorney or Health Care Surrogate Designations.
Higer-Polani knows that cost and lack of trust of lawyers remains a huge reason people do not seek legal advice. “However, another title for an attorney is Counselor at Law. I try to reduce anxiety and frustration, through humor, patience and understanding.”
“Communication is key,” Higer-Polani explains. As such, she generally does not charge for phone calls or emails between herself and clients whatsoever, plus provides complimentary consultations. Her goal is to help clients feel as comfortable as possible while discussing their concerns — even if she has to travel to their home to do so.
This also is a motivating reason for Higer-Polani’s dedication and involvement with many philanthropic endeavors, all of which certainly distinguish her in the community.
While building her own law practice and raising her family, Higer-Polani, as an unpaid volunteer, founded and organized for several years, the Alzheimer’s Association’s Boca Walk.
Likewise, Higer-Polani also donates countless hours and energy for her own nonprofit, Brain Bowl Events, raising approximately $3.1 million in the last 10 years for Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and dementia-related causes, all while serving on several other community nonprofit boards.
She truly lives up to her mantra: Live life to the fullest and help others do the same!
