Elouise Botha, owner and director of Living Colour Landscapes, jumped into the landscaping industry in 2014 after a career in IT.
Botha, originally from Pretoria, South Africa, is one of three landscape designers who designs, installs and maintains spectacular Florida yards and gardens. She purchased the company, operating successfully since 2005, in 2014.
“I was lucky to find a company with knowledgeable, loyal staff that have truly become family,” Botha says.
The 40-person staff includes a licensed landscape architect and employees with more than 100 years of combined operating and industry experience.
Living Colour Landscapes specializes in landscape design and installations, including new construction, existing landscape renovations and upgrades. The company also offers tree services, landscape lighting options, irrigation and regular landscape maintenance.
Living Colour Landscapes’ projects span all shapes and sizes. Clients include high-end residential, homeowner associations, golf courses and neighborhood communities, all of whom can call or reach Botha directly via her email, elouise@lclus.com.
“Clients meet with one of our landscape designers to get a feel for the styles and material they like and we fine-tune the design until they are completely happy. We then work with the client every step of the way throughout the installation to ensure their vision is realized,” Botha says. “We work hand in hand with our clients in order to make the design and installation process as seamless as possible. This includes help with permitting, schematic design work, association submittal and approval and post-installation inspection.”
Erik Simon, manager, says the team can handle any project or request.
“We are knowledgeable in all the different landscaping styles and materials suited for this climate,” he says. “Every project is unique and seeing the finished products gives me the ultimate gratification.”
Living Colour Landscapes uses many plants from nurseries in the area, supporting small local businesses.
With a high level of attention on each project, “We most often end up being really good friends with our clients,” Botha said. “We live in paradise here and the level of beauty you see in nature, the buildings and landscaping is second-to-none. It’s where we love to be.”
