Lorium Law was founded by lawyers with decades of experience in the cutthroat world of giant law firms with its hourly billing battles and who thought there had to be a better way.
“We strongly felt that by eliminating internal competitiveness among attorneys and aligning compensation, our culture would flourish, employees would be happy and this would ultimately align with our client’s best interests,” says Adam Marshall, a managing member of Lorium Law.
Culminating with a strategic merger in 2021, Lorium has become synonymous with exceptional client service, the highest quality legal representation and a dynamic internal culture. This game-changing concept is benefiting attorneys and their clients.
“It’s truly a unique model in the world of law firms and our clients are impressed by being represented by the most capable lawyers and where its internal incentives are based solely on client satisfaction,” says Greg Mitchell, an attorney at Lorium focusing on corporate law.
Did the model work? Well, with twenty-two attorneys in three states and more on the way, they have more than proven that the model works. The firm provides legal advice in the areas of creditor rights, bankruptcy, insolvency, business reorganizations, commercial litigation, business and real estate transactions, corporate law/M&A, public pension and employee benefits, intellectual property, labor, employment and data privacy.
Lorium Law’s Corporate Law team focuses on the full spectrum of matters dealing with corporations, with an additional emphasis on corporate restructuring and distressed M&A. Clients include major financial institutions, corporations, entrepreneurs, public pension funds and small businesses.
“We had a banner M&A year last year to close more than $500 million in deals,” says Michael Karsch, who has led the firm’s corporate and real estate practice groups and represents corporations, lenders, funds and buyers and sellers of assets in numerous industries.
The firm, which has offices in Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and Chicago, has grown based on client needs.
