Rodrigo Banegas, M.D., brings his extraordinary upper extremity orthopedic expertise to Orthopaedic Surgery Associates, Inc.
A board-certified orthopedic surgeon, he specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery. His areas of expertise include hand, wrist and elbow trauma and post traumatic disorders. He is also an expert in peripheral nerve conditions and chronic degenerative disorders of the hand, wrist and elbow.
Dr. Banegas prides himself on his commitment to his patients, who range in age from pediatric to adults. Their conditions vary from nerve problems and carpal tunnel syndrome to severe elbow fractures and dislocations. He enjoys interacting with patients and understanding their connection to the world. “I visualize how they use their hand. I also get to know what instrument or sport they play,” he says. “And what they like to do with their family.” Dr. Banegas is always upfront with his patients.

Dr. Banegas attended medical school and completed his residency in Argentina. He completed two years of training as a hand and upper extremity surgeon in Louisville, Ky. and five more years of training in hand and microsurgery at the world-renowned Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Micro Surgery. He then went on to work at Denver Health Medical Center and taught at the University of Colorado School of Medicine’s orthopedic department. He has published numerous scientific articles and book chapters and trained dozens of orthopedic residents and hand surgery fellows.
Dr. Banegas current practice, Orthopaedic Surgery Associates, Inc.
