Dr. Robert J. Miller has been providing dental treatment in Delray Beach for 38 years. Dr. Miller is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology, Honored Fellow American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Diplomate International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and a Fellow of the Academy of Osseointegration. Dr. Miller is chairman of the Department of Implant Dentistry at Palm Beach State College (ACDRC). He has served as president of the South Palm Beach County and Atlantic Coast District Dental Associations.
Dr. Miller aims to ensure that his office offers the most up-to-date technology. “If you were to ask me about our main focus, it’s our patient outcomes,” says Dr. Miller. “That’s why I’ve dedicated so much time to education and technology.” In his patient-friendly practice, he uses 3-D digital scanning, digital X-rays, surgical microscopes, five different lasers and growth factor technology to enhance his clinical outcomes.
Dr. Miller has spent years researching various areas of dentistry to utilize the best dental products for bone growth, platelet therapy, periodontal disease and implant surgery for long-term success. He has created techniques to save failing implants and has lectured and trained many specialists about his surgical techniques and reconstructive procedures.
He was part of a team that developed one of the top lasers used today in both general and surgical treatments, helping to make patients more comfortable and in certain instances using the laser to replace cutting and suturing. He says, “I love research and teaching, and it translates into our patient experience.”
Word has spread about Dr. Miller’s success, and he has been a speaker for many dental conferences specializing in the surgical and implant field. “Doc” has been all over the world to teach others and loves every moment. He has also become known as the go-to doctor when a case has failed or a patient has been told nothing else can be done.
