Larissa Salvador Fights For Immigrant Rights
Larissa Salvador, founder of Salvador Law PA, is the definition of inspiring.
Born and raised in Brazil, she came to the United States at 11 with her family in search of a safer and better future. At 12, she had mastered three languages: English, Spanish and Portuguese. She graduated from Boca Raton Community High School at the top of her class at 17. She landed nearly a full ride to Monroe College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree at 19. Then, she got her Juris Doctorate at Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law in 2018, the same year she became a U.S. citizen.
In 2019, she founded Salvador Law to help other immigrants like herself.
“I want them to be able to sleep at night,” she says. “We’re part of their team and their goal of working toward the American Dream.”
She provides clients with monthly updates on their cases during what’s often a lengthy and evolving process.
“I use my story as fuel for myself and to motivate my clients to keep going and not to give up.”
Her firm also works with domestic violence victims, she says: “I want to empower these women.”
In fact, she plans to start a foundation to help these women return to the workforce. The subject is close to Salvador’s heart as she experienced domestic abuse from her ex-husband. The firm also does pro bono work for kids who’ve crossed the border alone.
“It’s a lot of work, but it’s so fulfilling,” she says.
In her spare time, the Boca Raton resident is an exercise fiend. She works out with two trainers and practices Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. She also speaks to students at her high school alma mater about her hardships and achievements through the organization We Dine Together.
“Being an immigrant doesn’t define their possibilities,” she says. “Their dream doesn’t end here. You are the captain of your own destiny.”
Salvador Law PA is located at 150 E. Palmetto Park Road, Ste. 800, Boca Raton. For more information, call 954-773-8175 or visit salvadorlawpa.com.
