Simple yet elegant designs are Sarah Zohar’s specialty, from mood boards and samples to construction and hand-placing furniture.
Sarah Z Designs is a full-service design and build studio in Miami, with a focus on high-end luxury design and biophilic design (design that is influenced by nature).
“Humans are always attracted to nature, as am I,” Zohar says. “Being in Miami, for example, the water is very serene; taking a walk is calming.”
She explains that she always tries to incorporate into the interior the blue colors of the ocean, greens, sand colors, and lots of earth tones.
“We design for the client on an individual basis; we’re not cookie cutter, but a complete concierge turn-key,” Zohar says. “I sketch everything out — and sit with clients to learn (and then tell) their story.”
Zohar’s passion for details, excellence and an unparalleled work ethic was most likely inherited from her father, a builder in New York for more than 60 years.
“Construction comes as second nature to me,” the Aventura resident says. “Clients walking into a Sarah Z Designs installation or interior can’t wait to see my next and upcoming design.”
When she moved to Florida in 2004, Zohar started a design-build studio to carry on those high standards from her childhood, incorporating everything from architectural drawings and 3D renderings, to procurement of finishes and furnishings, and handling all the construction in-house.
It’s no surprise that Sarah Z Designs has won numerous awards, like the International Architecture & Design Award 2024 in London for Best Living Space USA.
Her team members are the best in the business — most have been with her for at least five years and all are interior designers with degrees.
Personally speaking, Zohar is always available, above and beyond, and puts her heart and soul into each project.
