Every Friday, the 45-year-old firm has a dress down day. The catch? You must donate to the charity of the week to participate. Recent recipients have included the 4C’s, which provides gently used clothes to the needy children of Martin County and Wreaths Across America, an organization whose mission is to remember our fallen US Veterans.
The firm also works informally with local charities, organizing donations of Thanksgiving meals to families in need. Staffers contribute to buy turkeys, stuffing, sides, dessert and other trimmings. “Giving back is part of the culture here,” says Vitale. “The firm spends considerable time doing what it can in the community.”
Vitale enjoys dedicating his time to organizations focused on youth and has spent three years on the board of Boys and Girls Club of Delray Beach. As a board member, he has judged the club’s Club Youth of the Year competition, where finalists showcase their leadership abilities and academic successes. The winner receives a four-year Florida prepaid college scholarship. “You get to see what your time giving back actually does and what organizations like this do to change kids’ lives,” he says.
In the courtroom, Vitale is an experienced trial attorney who has litigated cases throughout Florida. He focuses on personal injury, wrongful death and medical malpractice litigation, but also handles complex commercial and real estate litigation matters. As a result of his former career as a certified public accountant in New York, Vitale has a unique business perspective in developing strategies that are efficient, effective and tailored to each client’s individual needs. “I represent real people who need help and I get to try to make an actual difference in their lives.”
Vitale graduated second in his class at Boston College Law School. Vitale, his wife, Caitlin and 6-year-old son live in Boynton Beach and are active members of their community. They have a daughter on the way, due on Christmas.
