Periodontist
As a little girl, Liliana Aranguren, D.D.S., M.D.Sc, transformed her mother’s sewing kit into a tool of healing — mending “injured” patients in her imaginary hospital. That early spark of compassion set her on a lifelong journey of caring for others, a passion that has only grown stronger with time.
When a close friend introduced her to the world of dentistry, Dr. Aranguren immediately recognized its unique blend of science, artistry and patient care. “When I started dental school, I quickly realized that dentistry was the perfect combination of precision and creativity,” she recalls.
After emigrating from Venezuela to the United States, her commitment to changing lives through dentistry remained unwavering. “I knew I wanted to continue making a difference,” she says. Determined to practice, she returned to school — a journey marked by challenges but also immeasurable rewards. “There is no greater privilege than using my hands to restore confidence, health and happiness to my patients.”
Since joining the South Florida Center for Periodontics & Implant Dentistry in Boca Raton in 2016, Dr. Aranguren has become an indispensable force in the practice. Board certified in periodontics and dental implant surgery by the American Board of Periodontology, she has earned the respect of colleagues and patients alike through her innovative and compassionate approach.
At the practice, patients benefit from state-of-the-art treatments including laser-assisted periodontal therapies, robotics, digital scanning and periodontal endoscopes. Dr. Aranguren is celebrated for her groundbreaking techniques — from minimally invasive gum grafting and TeethToday® immediate load implant dentistry to accelerated orthodontics and aesthetic enhancements. With a strong commitment to patient comfort, she is licensed for both IV and conscious sedation, ensuring a gentle experience.
A true pioneer, Dr. Aranguren is certified in the use of Yomi Robotic Guided Dental Surgery — the first and only FDA-cleared robotic device for dental implant surgery. This digital blueprint empowers the dental team to plan surgeries virtually using advanced software and cone-beam CT scans, while providing real-time visual, auditory and physical guidance during procedures. “It’s like having a digital mentor guiding every step of the process,” she explains.
Working alongside esteemed colleagues such as Jeffrey Ganeles, Frederic J. Norkin, Andre De Souza, Ovadia Chocron and Samuel Zfaz, Dr. Aranguren continues to redefine excellence in dental care. Her journey from a child stitching imaginary wounds to a leader in modern dentistry embodies the spirit of Wonder Women — using skill, innovation and heart to transform lives every day.
