Jose L. Conde, M.D., is a board-certified physician in internal medicine and geriatric medicine, serving patients in private practice since 2006. With a compassionate, patient-centered approach, he specializes in adult and geriatric care, treating individuals from age 18 well into their 90s and beyond.
His work extends beyond the clinic — on weekends, he provides hospice and palliative care services in both home and facility settings, helping patients and their families navigate some of life’s most challenging moments with dignity and clarity.
A Delray Beach native raised in a Cuban household, Dr. Conde is fluent in both English and Spanish. Many patients appreciate that he is bilingual, especially older adults who feel more comfortable expressing themselves in Spanish.
“Being able to speak a patient’s language builds trust,” he says. “And trust is everything in this field.”
Since 2010, Dr. Conde has also served as a Community-Based Clinical Affiliate Assistant Professor of Integrated Medical Science at Florida Atlantic University’s Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine. As a preceptor, Dr. Conde has mentored countless medical students, providing them hands-on clinical experience while emphasizing the human side of medicine.
“Patients enjoy meeting students and students learn what it truly means to care for people,” he says.
Dr. Conde is especially passionate about working with older adults. “Geriatrics is challenging but incredibly rewarding,” he says. “It takes a special kind of person to do this work. I’m grateful every day for the opportunity to serve this population; our elders deserve our full attention, respect and compassion. I treat each and every patient the way I would want to be treated.”
