Celebrate Our Military

On Nov. 10, Connected Warriors will honor Jay Weinberg at its 6th Annual Stars of Honor Gala at the Boca Raton Marriott.

A true patriot, Weinberg served as a captain in the Counter Intelligence Corps in the U.S. Army. Weinberg and his wife, Marilyn, lead by example and give selflessly and generously to our community.

Connected Warriors, a Boca Raton nonprofit founded by Judy Weaver in 2010, is focused on improving the overall health and well-being of veterans, service members and their families. The organization is motivated by the stark reality that suicide among past and present members of the military has surpassed combat as a cause of death and is now the most lethal threat facing the military, our veterans and their families.

The program is offered at no cost to participants in 25 states and nine countries. Connected Warriors provides evidence- based, trauma-conscious, therapeutic yoga classes in yoga studios, in community centers, on 14 active duty military bases, and at 37 VA hospitals and vet centers. Out of every dollar raised, 92 cents go directly into programming.

Join honorary chairs Carolyn and John Kelly, president of Florida Atlantic University, for a fun-filled night of dinner, dancing, camaraderie and giving.
