DKJA To Hold Annual Tennis Extravaganza And Party With Chris Evert

Donna Klein Jewish Academy will hold its 13th Annual Tennis Extravaganza and Party on Nov. 17 with a special guest - tennis superstar Chris Evert.

The evening event, held at The Oaks of Boca Raton, is hosted by the Eagles Athletic Booster Club and is themed "Tennis Under the Stars."

Attendees will not only get to play with friends in mixed doubles under the lights, but they'll also be afforded an opportunity to take a photo with the tennis legend for a keepsake. After the final points are recorded, players and spectators can enjoy light bites and fine wine while prizes are awarded throughout a number of raffles. The Tennis Extravaganza is sponsored by The Boca Raton Observer and Gregory's Fine Jewelers.

Known for its academically challenging curriculum integrating Judaic and general studies, DKJA features a state-of-the-art Makerspace and a new film studio. Specialized engineering, legal and medical studies programs are also available at Claire and Emanuel G. Rosenblatt High School, which boasts programs rich in honors, advanced placement and academic electives.

The school's arts program includes a string orchestra and instrumental, drama, dance, ceramics and fine arts classes. Its dual curriculum is infused with leadership principles of the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. The athletic department is equally strong, as the school's 20 teams are members of the FHSAA and include two dance squads. In addition to tuition assistance for families that demonstrate need, new academic scholarships are available for rising ninth graders. O
