Double The Fun

The Adolph & Rose Levis Jewish Community Center announces Jeans, Jewels & The J - Livin' the Chai Life - an evening featuring dining, dancing, a casino, a silent auction, fun, friends and community.

The event follows the Levis JCC's long tradition of pausing once each year to celebrate the organization, its committed supporters and outstanding honorees.

On Jan. 26 at Boca West Country Club in Boca Raton, Jeans, Jewels & The J will begin with a cocktail reception followed by a brief program; dinner and dancing; a variety of casino games, including roulette, blackjack and craps; and a silent auction. Chaired by Marisa and Matthew Baker, Mara and Matthew Garaway, Lori and Jason Solodkin, and Ariel and Steven Wax, the event is expected to bring together more than 500 for a fun-filled evening to celebrate the JCC's 36th - double chai - anniversary and to benefit its programs and services.

The Levis JCC will proudly honor each of its past presidents with the Phyllis & Harvey Sandler Crystal Award, including Captain Robert Byrnes III, Betty C. Stone (of blessed memory), Dottie Lipson, Larry Juran, Dale Filhaber, Jerry Milgram (of blessed memory), Rose Robinson, Edward B. Cohen, Beverly Feurring, Maurice D. Plough Jr., Thomas R. Kaplan, Stephanie Owitz, Eric Gutmann and Matthew P. Baker. Dynamic leaders Jill and Jeffrey Yesner will also be presented with the Shirley & Allan B. Solomon Leadership Award.

Event proceeds will support a robust scholarship and financial aid program that enables hundreds of children to participate in preschool, special needs and summer camp programs that they would otherwise not be able to attend.
