Impact 100 Palm Beach County Awards Over $650,000 In Grants To Local Nonprofits

Recipients of the six $100,000 grants

For the first time in Impact 100 Palm Beach County’s history, six $100,000 grants and four $13,000 grants were awarded to southern Palm Beach County nonprofits.

The winners of the $100,000 grants are the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County, Coastal Conservation Association Florida, Help Our Wounded Foundation, Inc., Milagro Center, Tri-County Animal Rescue and Schoolhouse Children’s Museum. The remaining $52,000 was divided equally between the other four nonprofits: Florence Fuller Child Development Centers, Inc., Pathways to Prosperity, Inc., Propel, Inc. and Spady Cultural Heritage Museum.

Leading up to the winners’ announcement, each of the finalist representatives had the opportunity to describe their project, their vision and what the high-impact grant would mean for their organization and the community through a short video and executive summary.

“For our 10th Anniversary year, our goal was to have 600 members so that we could award as many $100,000 grants to local nonprofits as possible,” said Kathy Adkins, President of Impact 100 Palm Beach County. “We surpassed that goal with 652 members which means we have $652,000 to award these finalists — the first-time in Impact 100 PBC’s history. With these transformative grants, we can positively impact our community and help support nonprofit initiatives. For the past 10 years, Impact 100 Palm Beach County has awarded more than $4.5 million in grants, and we hope that number continues to grow.”
