If you've cooked one too many meals for the fam this summer, Miami Spice is calling your name. The 17th annual discount dining event, from Aug. 1 through Sept. 30, showcases a diverse array of the city's best cuisine at a fraction of the normal price. And there's something for every taste.

Nearly 200 area restaurants are participating, offering prix fixe three-course meals for lunch/brunch ($23) and dinner ($39). Bask in the lap of luxury at Faena Miami Beach while you enjoy a dinner of aged beef tartare, duck adobo rice and Hokkaido style cheesecake at Pao by Paul Qui. Or go for classic steakhouse fare at Smith & Wollensky, where you can dig into a dinner of roasted beet salad, filet mignon and chocolate cake while watching boats cruise through Government Cut.

And, considering that Miami Spa Month and Miami Hotel Months are going on right now, too, you can make a true budget staycation out of it - for one last fling before school starts.
