A Day For Dad

Celebrate Father's Day With These Great Events

by

If you’re looking for something special for that special guy in your life, instead of a “World’s Greatest Dad” mug, why not take him out for the day?

Here are several events he might enjoy, and some won’t even cost you a dime.

On June 18, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. drive Dad crazy with this classic car show — the Delray Beach Concours D’Elegance. Max Zengage, a Delray Beach native, real estate agent and aspiring developer founded the free event which will take place at 200 S.E. 2nd Ave. in Delray Beach. The event is “a little more casual” than formal concours events.

Rather than buy Dad a tie, why not make one? Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach invites you to learn how to create an original card in the shape of a shirt with an origami tie for the perfect Father’s Day gift.  The event takes place June 19 at noon. There’s no additional charge for the event with paid admission.

On June 18, take Dad to the All-White Yacht Party Father’s Day & Juneteenth Weekend aboard the South Beach Lady, a multimillion-dollar luxury yacht. Boarding begins at 8 p.m. at 1318 N. Ocean Drive in Hollywood. The ship departs at 8:30 p.m. and returns at midnight. There is a light buffet and music by DJ Snap and DJ Prince.
