Better Watch Out

John Waters Sets His Sights On The Holidays In Kravis Show

Take a break from gift wrapping, shopping and schlepping to join filmmaker and author John Waters at the Kravis Center, where you’ll be treated to a holiday show like no other.

Waters, who never met a Christmas tradition he couldn’t ridicule, brings his one-man Filthier & Merrier Tour to West Palm Beach on Dec. 2 at 8 p.m.

“Delving into his love for the annual December warning list of unsafe toys to give to your child, his hatred for email Christmas cards, the Easter Bunny and any kind of holiday food issues, John Waters brings a cool yule like no other,” notes the venue’s website.

Director of the films “Pink Flamingos,” “Hairspray,” “Cry-Baby” and “Serial Mom,” among others, Waters is known for his sarcastic wit and reaching new lows (he’s not called The Pope of Trash for nothing) – and the audience can expect some can’t-believe-he-said-that moments.

“This time, John Waters is going beyond the valley of bad little boys and girls, over the top of deluded elf-happiness, beneath Rudolph’s slavish cult devotion and the stringent regulations of Santa himself to a whole new level of lunatic holiday cheer,” notes a press release about the show. “You better watch out, you better cry! John Waters, the cracked Kris Kringle, the psycho Santa Supreme, is coming to town.”

This show will definitely be naughty. But isn’t that kinda nice?
