Eat, Drink And Be Merry

The Greater Fort Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival Is Back

by

Broward County’s premier foodie event is back and bigger than ever. The Greater Fort Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival presented by Visit Fort Lauderdale kicks off Jan. 10 and runs through Jan. 16. With over 40 restaurants participating, it’s double the size of its inaugural event in 2019.

“The 2022 festival not only offers diverse cuisines, but also caters to those with a unique or restrictive dietary lifestyle. We’re happy that our festival will be able to accommodate any and everyone, and we look forward to hosting guests from across the country to give them a taste of what Broward County has to offer,” says festival founder Kate Reed.

Among the offerings: The Grand Tasting Event from noon to 4 p.m. Jan. 15 at the new host site at Las Olas Oceanside Park, 3000 E. Las Olas Blvd. Attendees will receive a commemorative tasting glass, gift bag and the opportunity to vote for their favorite bite. Guests can partake in food and beverage tastings, cooking demonstrations and live music.

There also are tickets for other special events including Cocktail Confidential on Jan. 12 and Poolside BBQ Battle (local barbecue joints compete for the title of Best BBQ) on Jan. 14. Family Day, a free event filled with entertainment, kid-friendly activities and more food and drinks also takes place Jan. 16.
