Flying High

Prepare To Be Dazzled By The Sky

by

From Air Force Thunderbirds to an A-10 Thunderbolt II, the skies over South Florida will come alive from April 30 through May 1 when the Fort Lauderdale Air Show soars into town. Dozens of daredevil aerialists will be crisscrossing the sky, amazing the crowds below as they twist and turn in mid-air.

There will be performances by the Red Bull Helicopter, one of just a few in the world certified to do aerobatics including barrel rolls, vertical climbs and nose dives — it’s enough to make your stomach do flip-flops just watching.

Kirby Chambliss, a five-time winner of the U.S. National Aerobatic Championship will also have you biting your nails. It’s not just planes and choppers on stage. The Red Bull Air Force will push the limits by soaring through the air in specially made suits, while the U.S. Special Operations Command Parachute Team (Para-Commandos) fall from the sky.

Spectators can reserve their seats with tickets ranging from $29.75 for a spot on the beach to $449 for the VIP penthouse where you can watch the jets roar by the rooftop balcony.

The show is an annual favorite that is sure to have every member of your family in awe.
