Highly Anticipated L'Atelier De Joel Robuchon Arrives In Miami

Prepare your taste buds: The Miami dining scene will never be the same.

The highly anticipated outpost of L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon – the brainchild of the late Chef Joël Robuchon, who held more Michelin stars than any chef in history – is now open in the Design District. 

The 3,300-square-foot restaurant joins its counterparts in Paris, Tokyo and New York in serving up modern French cuisine. The Miami eatery is helmed by Chef de Cuisine Nancy Dominguez and overseen by Culinary Director Christophe Bellanca. 

The signature 34-seat dining counter facing the open kitchen is just one design highlight – along with dramatic lighting, bold colors, polished rosewood walls, custom red-leather seating, granite flooring and black ceilings.

“At L’Atelier, the most significant way we pay tribute to Chef Robuchon is by upholding his exceptionally high standards and mentoring the next generation of cooks,” says Bellanca in a press release. “Even as we create new dishes, we adhere to his principles of cuisine – quality, restraint and technique.”

The menu features several of L’Atelier’s iconic signature dishes, including pommes purée, as well as seasonal creations with ingredients sourced from local and regional purveyors.

Classic dishes include La Caille (caramelized free-range quail with foie gras and potato purée) and La Langoustine (crispy langoustine papillote with fresh basil). New creations – like Les Tomates Et Le Crab Royal, with zebra tomatoes, king crab and wasabi tofu, and Le Boeuf, with grilled wagyu ribcap, summer vegetable “tian” and wild basil pesto – have also been incorporated.
